01: Video : I got the shotgun, you got the briefcase

[Omar's been laying seriously low since Risa, mostly staying off the communicators, keeping to himself. Friendly to anyone who's spoken to him in person, genial and even more or less polite, just... quiet.

But now, he's decided it's time to make his presence more known. The communicator switches on to show the pool table on level six. A dark-skinned man, marked by the glittering jewels in his ears and the large scar on his face -- like someone took a knife and slashed him from his forehead to his right cheek -- is sitting behind the table, sprawled out comfortably on a chair.]

Evenin', everyone. Thought it about time I introduced myself. My name-- [And this is something he waffled on, thought maybe to lie when he first showed up on Risa... But then he realized that anyone here who would know him, they would already know him.]

My name Omar Little. Any of y'all from down Baltimore way circa 2006 or so, you might already know of me. If not... [And this next part is said with a grin -- like it could be a joke, or maybe not.] ...I'm a new warden up in this piece.

And I got a question or two for y'all, if y'all got answers.

I'll give you the rundown I got when I got here: don't sleep with your inmate, don't kill for revenge, don't go overboard with punishments, don't let inmates get your weapons if you have them, and don't get demoted.

Plus floods, but I assume those have been mentioned.

Already got some of that, floods included. [Although no one specifically mentioned the weapons thing to him, and he supposes it's a good thing that no one can see the gun he has tucked into the back of his waistband, should anyone figure out how full of shit he is right now.]

Sleeping around a big problem here? [And now he's grinning.] 'Cause that one new to me.

[persuadeyou]

[She smiles a little wryly in return.] Haven't had first hand experience with it yet, so maybe it was just a precautionary thing.

[You know, like the knife she has strapped to her leg, under her pants. Lots of precautions.]

[omar]

[But it's cool, because they're both clearly just ordinary wardens, right?]

And here, I thought that was gonna be a perk, too.

[Totally ordinary and believable wardens, yep.]

You never know.

[omar]

Oh, I prefer to. [Knowing things -- especially when it's who's lying about what, or who's hiding what where -- makes life so much easier.] Speaking of, what's your name, girl?

Nicole, Nicole Reese. Nice to meet you, Mr. Little.

[omar]

Omar do me fine, Miss Reese.

[persuadeyou]

Then I guess Nicole's all right.

Don't have to. I appreciate the polite words, personally. Nice change from back where I comes from. Just that me... Well. [He grins.] Omar be Omar.

Yeah, I get that. I don't really mind either way; I hear Ms. Reese most days at work.

Just don't call me Nic, and we'll be fine.
